iPlayer Downloader

UPDATE: Merry Christmas to all our users, 4.3 is now released, should have you downloading all the good christmas telly in no time! (We're not responsible if you can't find anytihng good to watch, though!)
With over 100,000 downloads to date, iPlayer Downloader continues to be popular with Mac users from across the UK. Jointly developed by Graphics Forge and the awesome guys at Snapshot Media, it was created because the BBC have always lagged behind in their support of operating systems other than Windows, in this case Mac OS X. iPlayer Downloader is a free Application for Mac OS X which lets you download DRM-free programs from the BBC iPlayer website.
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.5 or later and you must be in the UK otherwise the application won’t be able to download anything. You also require an Intel-based Mac.
If iPlayer Downloader is helpful to you, please consider donating via Paypal. It will probably all go on cider and pizza whisky, turkey and more christmas pudding than is altogether healthy (it is Christmas after all!) but you're helping the economy in any case!
Change Log:
4.3
Fixed some changes made by the BBC's new site design.
Changed Sparkle update directory to new site listing, making updating easier (for development - no user changes noticeable!)
4.2
Fixed long-standing bugs that completely crippled the app resulting from the BBC changing their search system.
Removed default option to convert to MP4 due to encoding issues - option can still be re-enabled in preferences.
Updated to include compatibility with Mac OS X Lion (10.7).
Changed iPlayer website and updated the Sparkle feed for automatic updates.
Removed GrowlWithInstaller framework and replaced it with the regular Growl framework.
And much more that I can't currently remember.

Sorry about that - a faulty link! As you probably guessed, the site isn't quite finished yet, but I've fixed the link. Should be finished soon, work permitting! Thanks Math

iPlayer Updated!
Hey everyone; very sorry for the long long delay, but the new version is finally ready. It's going up as we speak, and hopefully the new updater system will also be working now (although whether it will automatically update from 4.1 to 4.3, the new release, I have no idea. Hopefully, but I just can't test for that yet. Sorry if you have to delete 4.1 manually and install 4.3 afterwards!)..It would have been done before, but as someone alluded, the pizza and cider fund was sadly spent on more mundane things like the rent, the broadband bill etc. and thus development had to wait whilst paid work was done...Consider this an early Christmas pressie :) Thanks for you patience everyone!
Transfer files to AppleTV
Hi the download worked but wanted to know the recommended way to convert the Downloader *.flv files to Apple mV4 format for loading on to AppleTV (1st Gen). I have QT7Pro but with the default AppleTV settings the Export function just quits. Thanks in anticipation of your solution
AppleTV files
My advice is to enable the "convert to MP4" option in the preferences. This will give an mp4 file. After that, take it into iTunes, and share to your AppleTV like any normal video.I am looking at automatic conversion to iTunes-friendly format, with an option to automatically add the files to iTunes library...
